Bobby Driscoll-inspired artwork

Happy January to my followers!  I hope everyone's new year is turning out to be drama-free and refreshing!

I posted a picture of Bobby a couple days ago simply to have something quick to put up while I'm working on my next commentary, which will be on Screen Director's Playhouse's "Day is Done."  Those can be quite the undertaking between finding time to get my mom's computer in order to use her DVD drive (my own laptop doesn't have one), taking all the screenshots, and typing up the plot summary.  I still have a few episodes I'm going to do this with, so expect great things!  Even if they're not ready quite yet....

So today I want to show you some really beautiful artwork created by someone on Instagram named maggzilyx.  She is a gifted kindred spirit who has turned Bobby's life into art, and I'm going to give a link so you guys can go look at her stuff.  She's done alot of collages and mixed media art with his image.

(Btw, I have her permission to be saying all this and sharing her profile!)

Here it is:  https://www.instagram.com/maggzilyx/?hl=en

My two favorites:

I'd wanted to post them in here as images credited to her, but I can't seem to save them as jpegs....

So please.  Go there.  Let her know she's awesome.

By the way, this gives me the courage to post my own Bobby collage I did back at the beginning of 2016!  It's not nearly as well done as those above are, but it was borne of affection all the same.

I used some Peter Pan quotes, cut up portions of some of his letters (COPIES of his letters), and that middle portion there includes lyrics from Earth Angel, reported to have been his favorite song.

I've said this before, but I believe Bobby would have been honored by people inspired to create art out of his life.

  1. Hi. Bobby's television episodes are difficult to find and I was wondering how you obtained a copy of Screen Director's Playhouse's "Day is Done"? Can you please let me know how you found the program. Thanks.

    1. Hi there! 😊 Darn straight his stuff is hard to find. It's maddening! I wish I had more... anyway, a good friend had copies of some of these shows years ago, and he copied them for me. I only wish they weren't encrypted so I could upload them to share. I wouldn't hesitate doing so but for that, and the fact that even if they could be copied, I don't have the right stuff to do it. I won't give up on figuring out how to eventually, though! Once I have, I certainly will. I feel Bobby content should be widely available to anyone who wants it, for the sake of informing and reminding everyone who he was.

Please always be kind and respectful to each other :)

One more thing...

I had a serious moment today when I came across a piece of art. This person rendered something that was complex, beautiful and heartbreakin...
